Default Most effective Monk armour combo?

Running a standard boon prot, Acolyte's Armour seems far better then the other types of armour. I've decided to go with Acolyte's Armour for the frontpiece and trousers and then use asthetics for the hands and feet.

So from what I understand, I should be getting +10 armour on most of the damage I'm taking. Is that right? Or is there a more optimal way to setup the armour bonuses? Is +hp more effective then the +10 while enchanted or do you all go for pure asthetics for the extra energy?

So many questions...

Most monks use Ascetic's as they normally are not close enough to the aggro to get wailed on too much.

Unless, ofcoarse you are talking PvP...
